FAQ

What can I expect?

•  Steven meets with people in different agreed upon safe locations.

•  The initial session or “intake” will be centered on the person(s) involved with the therapeutic relationship. Steven understands how difficult making this initial visit can be and will do everything to create a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

 

How much time does it take?

•  Intakes usually last around 60 minutes and up to 75 minutes.

•  Regular individual sessions are 50 minutes.

•  Family sessions are typically 45 minutes to 60 minutes.

 

Is this really confidential?

•  You will make an agreement with SOLC and Steven for confidentiality. You can decide who needs to know and who can be in communication. There are limitations to confidentiality are primarily held by the individual (client) giving info about their process to others and by the following criteria:

•  Reporting of self-harm

•  Reporting of harm to others

•  Harm to children, other adults and/or elderly

Do you cover insurance?

•  SOLC (Steven) is “IN-Network” with BCBS of TN. This can involve a co-pay.

•  Insurance doesn’t always cover what you’d expect or desire. Please consult your insurance company prior and see what they cover. Please advise when contacting SOLC. Many people find that working it out personally with SOLC and Steven get better cash value opportunities than navigating through the insurance.

 

Are discounts offered?

•  SOLC also operates with a sliding scale to assist individuals who can’t afford standard fees. For cash customers, discounts can be available.
